Contact usA gear reducer is a power-transmission device that uses gears to reduce a motor’s rotational speed to the required speed while increasing torque. Between the prime mover and the driven machine it matches speed and transmits torque — in short, a “speed-and-force adjuster”. On an automated line, for instance, the motor spins fast while many machines need slower, stronger power to move heavy loads; the reducer turns that fast rotation into the slower rotation the machine needs while raising torque.
Take a common gear reducer as an example: reduction is achieved by meshing gears of different sizes. When a small gear drives a larger one, the larger gear turns more slowly with greater torque, delivering lower-speed, higher-torque output.
