Contact usA reducer is a power-transmission mechanism that uses gears to step a motor's speed down to the required output speed while increasing torque. It matches speed and transmits torque between the prime mover and the driven machine — essentially a "speed and force adjuster." For example, on automated production lines a motor may spin fast, while equipment needs slower, stronger motion; the reducer converts the fast rotation into the slower speed and higher torque the equipment requires.
Taking a common gear reducer as an example, reduction is achieved by meshing gears of different sizes: when a small gear drives a larger gear, the larger gear turns more slowly with greater torque — outputting lower speed and higher torque.
